Pharmac Consumer Engagement Workshop Report

Pharmac’s Board commissioned independent facilitator Dame Kerry Prendergast to run two workshops with consumer groups in November 2024. The purpose was to understand what it is like to work with Pharmac as a consumer and to hear if there are things the organisation could do better.

Workshop participants representing a range of consumer health advocacy groups identified areas for improvement to build respectful, inclusive relationships with consumers and to ensure consumer voices are included throughout our work.

The Board discussed the report at its meeting on Tuesday 26 February and is now considering next steps. The Board has proactively released the report to demonstrate its commitment to transparency and change.
