Introducing our new Principal Advisor - Medical Devices
Te Uranga Pihama (pictured on the left) joins Te Pātaka Whaioranga as the new Principal Advisor in the Medical Devices Programme Delivery team.

Te Uranga Pihama was born and raised in the Waikato in a small town called Horotiu and is a Māmā of two beautiful Tamariki. She brings pūkenga across mātauranga Māori, Māori workforce development in health, career pathways for iwi/hapū and marae, iwi and stakeholder relationships/engagement and iwi governance experience.
Te Uranga will advise how the Medical Devices Directorate can incorporate the needs and aspirations of priority population groups, as set out by Pae Ora, into medical devices services, interactions, and engagement.
Te Uranga will partner with the Equity and Engagement Directorate and Te Pou Hauora Māori Directorate to embed a consistent and aligned approach across Te Pātaka Whaioranga.
