Decision to list medical devices supplied by Toomac Holdings Limited
What we’re doing
We're pleased to announce the approval of a listing agreement with Toomac Holdings Limited (“Toomac”) for the supply of medical devices to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (“Health NZ”) Hospitals in the following categories:
- patient assessment, monitoring and treatment
- surgical implants
- medical and surgical instruments and power tools.
In summary this will result in:
- Listing the medical devices supplied by Toomac in Part III of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule from 1 July 2025 under a national agreement that all Heath NZ hospitals may purchase under; and
- Health NZ hospitals being able to continue to purchase other suppliers’ brands of medical devices in the above categories as the agreement is not for sole supply.
