Decision to approve agreement for medical devices supplied by Vantive Limited
What we’re doing
We are pleased to announce the approval of a listing agreement with Vantive Limited (“Vantive”) for the supply of peritoneal dialysis equipment and consumables to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (“Health NZ”).
In summary this will result in:
- Vantive’s products being listed in Part III of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule from 1 April 2026 under a national agreement that all Health NZ may purchase under (the “Agreement”); and
- Health NZ being able to continue to purchase other suppliers’ brands of peritoneal dialysis equipment and consumables.
This decision was subject to a consultation letter dated 13 January 2026. We thank all that sent feedback regarding this decision.

Our response to what you told us
We appreciate the time people took to respond to this consultation. All consultation responses received by 3 February 2026 were considered in their entirety in making the decision to list these medical devices in the peritoneal dialysis equipment and consumables category. During consultation, Health NZ requested clarification on some of the terms included in the proposal. Pharmac engaged with both Health NZ and Vantive to provide this clarification, which resulted in minor revisions to the terms and conditions of the Agreement with Vantive.
