Sanofi has had an out of stock of rifampicin cap 300 mg (Pharmacode: 251194).

Sanofi has received the next shipment and stock is going out to wholesalers. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks for stock to reach pharmacies around New Zealand Aotearoa.

Alternatives
We have received clinical advice that 2 x 150 mg can be used in place of the 300 mg capsule.
We're sorry, we know that taking multiple tablets is not ideal. As the next shipment is due before the end of the month, we hope any disruption is minimal.
