Due to an issue at the manufacturing site, stock of pioglitazone (Vexazone) tablets 30 mg (Pharmacode: 2479443) is expected to run out before the next shipment arrives

Alternative: 2 x 15 mg pioglitazone tablets
We received clinical advice that 2 x 15 mg pioglitazone tablets is a suitable alternative to the 30 mg tablet (Rule 3.4.2 applies).
Expected resupply
Stock of the 30 mg tablets is expected to arrive with wholesalers early August 2026. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks to reach pharmacies around the country.
