Due to higher than expected sales early in 2025, there is now a supply issue affecting Fosamax Plus (Pharmacode: 2337053).

The supplier expects to run out of Fosamax Plus during May 2025 before the next shipment arrives.

Alternative treatment

If people cannot get Fosamax Plus, they will need to talk to the person who prescribed it about suitable alternatives. They will also need a new prescription.

Fosamax is not affected by this supply issue.

Expected resupply

Oragon, the supplier, expects the next shipment to arrive by the end of May 2025. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks to reach pharmacies around the motu.
