Due to delays at the factory, the supplier was out of stock of Candestar tab 32 mg (Pharmacode: 2380439).

The supplier has received a shipment and is working to release stock to wholesalers. It can take another 1 to 2 weeks to reach pharmacies around New Zealand Aotearoa.
Affected product
Due to delays at the factory, the supplier was out of stock of the following product.
- Chemical: Candesartan cilexetil
- Presentation: Tab 32 mg

- Subsidy: $5.24
- Measure / Qty: per 90
Some stock of the 32 mg tablets may still be in the supply chain. Other strengths of Candestar are not affected by this issue.

Alternative two x 16 mg tablets
People can take two 16 mg tablets in place of one 32 mg tablet.
Schedule Rule 3.4.2 allows pharmacists to make this substitution and be able to claim. Please annotate the prescription where there is an additional cost to Pharmac.
