Oestradiol valerate (Progynova) tab 2 mg: Supply issue
The next shipment of Progynova brand oestradiol valerate 2 mg tablets (Pharmacode 2619423) has been delayed.

Alternative funded 1 June
The supplier is bringing its Australian version of Progynova into New Zealand. The product is the same in all respects except for the box that it comes in. The Australian Progynova comes in a 56-pack, rather than the usual 84-pack.
The boxes look very similar. The primary difference is that the contact details are Australian rather than New Zealand.
The Australian Progynova has Medsafe approval to be supplied when the NZ Progynova is not available. It can be prescribed and dispensed as an approved medicine.
It will be funded from 1 June 2026.

Resupply expected July 2026
Stock of the New Zealand Progynova is expected to arrive during July 2026. It will take another 2 to 3 weeks to reach pharmacies around the country.
