Benralizumab (Fasenra): Funding update
Fasenra has a new Pharmacode. This will be funded from 12 June.
Fasenra updates
Fasenra is being made in a different factory. The formulation, pack size, and subsidy remain the same. The change of factory means the Fasenra has a new Pharmacode. Supply of the currently funded Farensa Pharmacode is expected to run out during June 2026.
There is ample stock of the product with the new Pharmacode. However, due to a late notification of the product change, the new Pharmacode had not yet been listed in the Pharmaceutical Schedule.
New Pharmacode funded from 12 June 2026
As soon as we learned of the supply problem, Pharmac acted quickly to list the new Pharmacode. It is funded from 12 June 2026. Unfortunately, the system does not allow us to make changes immediately, even if it is just adding a Pharmacode.

This listing will not appear in the Online Schedule until it is updated for 1 July 2026. It will appear automatically in RxOne, ScriptSense, and Toniq from 12 June.
How to claim
The Sector Operations Group will be able to process claims for June dispensing of the new Pharmacode.
