Ensure Plus, Ensure Plus HN and Pediasure cans: Discontinuation
Abbott is no longer making three of its canned products.

Pediasure is no longer available and has been delisted from the Schedule.
Ensure Plus HN has mostly run out and will be delisted from 1 March 2026.
Ensure Plus will likely be available from until February 2026, it will be delisted 1 July 2026, to align with its expiry date.

Abbott's cannery is closing. This affects three funded products. There are alternative products available.

Suggested alternatives
People may need a new prescription and there may be a part charge. A new special authority will not be needed. From 1 July 2025, Ensure Plus and Fortisip are fully funded for people with Crohn's.
