From time to time the funded brand of a medicine may change as a result of a PHARMAC decision.
Aromatase Inhibitor Brand Change
PHARMAC has made some changes to the funding of aromatase inhibitors. Please read through this Aromatase Inhibitor Patient Information sheet (4 pages, 192 KB) which will provide you with more information about the changes and answers some questions you may have.
Sumatriptan Brand Change
There will soon be some changes to the subsidised brand of sumatriptan. Click here (2 pages, 173 KB) to download an information sheet that will provide you with details about the change and help answer some questions you may have.
My Medicine Looks Different
The “My Medicine Looks Different” brochure is for patients whose brand of medicine has changed. The brochure answers some common questions about medicine brand changes - such as explaining why the medicine has changed, why it has a different brand name - and includes information about safety and effectiveness.
