Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Consumer Advisory Committee provides PHARMAC with input from a patient or health consumer perspective. The committee can provide input on a broad range of PHARMAC's activities, including around medicines funding issues. It is not, however, involved in the assessment of pharmaceutical funding applications.
It is one of the ways that PHARMAC is kept informed of consumer perspectives.
The Committee meets at least twice a year, and is guided by its Terms of Reference (10 pages, 26 KB). Minutes of meetings are available here.
