Funding Applications
Funding applictions are made to PHARMAC. If PHARMAC considers that clinical advice on the Application is required, the first step in the assessment process will be a review of the Application by the Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee (PTAC) or, in some cases, one of the specialist PTAC Subcommittees.
Funding applications can be made by pharmaceutical suppliers, health professionals, consumer groups and individuals. Guidelines for making these submissions are available here:

- Adalimumab (Humira) for juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Abbott; submitted 17/08/2010
- Posaconazole (Noxafil) for aspergillus. Merck Sharp & Dohme; Submitted 17/08/2010
- Nab-Paclitaxel (Abraxane) for advanced breast cancer. Specialised Therapeutics; submitted 17/08/2010
- Dabigatran (Pradaxa) for stroke, systemic embolism, and atrial fibrillation. Boehringer Ingelheim; submitted 25/05/2010
