Medicine Brand Changes
From time to time the funded brand of a medicine may change as a result of a PHARMAC decision.
The “My Medicine Looks Different” brochure is for patients whose brand of medicine has changed. The brochure answers some common questions about medicine brand changes - such as explaining why the medicine has changed, why it has a different brand name - and includes information about safety and effectiveness. Omeprazole (Losec/Dr Reddy's Omeprazole)

Medsafe has approved Dr Reddy's Omeprazole using the brand Losec (Modified Release Capsule 20mg) as the reference product. For further information please visit Medsafe's website. Medsafe also has a medicine datasheet for omeprazole available.
