Awhimai Reynolds
Māori Health Manager, Access & Optimal Use – Te Whaioranga
I ahu mai nei au i te waka o Tainui, noo te rohe o Waikato, noo te hapuu o Ngaati Maahanga. No reira, kei te mihi, kei te mihi, kei te mihi mahana atu ki a koutou katoa.
Awhimai joined PHARMAC whanau in December 2009, bringing with her broad experience and knowledge of Māori development gained from working alongside Māori communities and organisations in the IT, education and health sectors. Having the correct information delivered at the right time and using the most appropriate medium enables Māori to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing. This is consistent with the goals of PHARMAC's Māori Responsiveness Strategy (MRS) 2002 and the overall aim of Te Whaioranga – Māori Health Action Plan.
Awhimai looks forward to enhancing existing, as well as building new, relationships both internally and externally in order to advance the excellent work already commenced with regard to the MRS and Te Whaioranga and contribute to the best health outcomes for Māori.
