Stock deliveries of Mylan’s brand of atorvastatin tablets (Lorstat), which were to be subsidised from 1 August 2010, have been delayed. While we obtain further information about the likely timing of the introduction of Lorstat, Pfizer’s brand of atorvastatin (Lipitor) will remain available and fully subsidised at the current prices for at least an additional month (until at least 30 September 2010). We will provide an advisory fax with further information on or before 13 August 2010. If you have any questions, you can call our toll free number (9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday) on 0800 66 00 50.
