TENDER RESULTS – OMISSION FROM THE TENDER NOTIFICATION DATED 30 SEPTEMBER 2009

Please note that the tender decision for etidronate disodium 200 mg tablet was omitted from the Tender Notification sent on 30 September 2009, this decision is in addition to the results notified on 30 September. The PHARMAC Board (or Chief Executive under delegated authority) has resolved to accept tenders for Sole Subsidised Supply and Hospital Supply Status for some of the products listed in the Invitation to Tender dated 23 December 2008. Some of the pharmaceuticals that will be delisted when the period of sole supply commences may be subject to existing listing contracts with PHARMAC. Suppliers of pharmaceuticals that are subject to such contracts should continue to supply their pharmaceuticals under those contracts until such time as the pharmaceuticals are delisted and PHARMAC will continue to subsidise their pharmaceuticals accordingly. Product Notification Forms Please note that for all changes (price change, pack size change, new listing etc) to be effective in the Pharmaceutical Schedule (including Section H) suppliers are required to notify PHARMAC and the Guild by 4pm 12th October 2009. Tenders awarded to pharmaceuticals where at least one other brand is listed – listing for tender winning brand at the tender subsidy will occur on 1 November 2009, reference pricing of nontender winning brand will occur on 1 January 2010 and Sole Subsidised Supply commences on 1 April 2010.

Tenders awarded to listed pharmaceuticals where an alternative brand is already listed – listing for hospital tender winning brands of the pharmaceutical will occur in Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule on 1 November 2009; DV Limits and DV pharmaceuticals will apply from 1 January 2010; de-listing of other brands in Section H will occur on 1 January 2010.
