Proposal to list a range of Baxter Healthcare’s intravenous and irrigation fluids

PHARMAC is seeking feedback on a proposal to list a range of intravenous and irrigation fluids supplied by Baxter Healthcare in Part II of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule. In summary, this proposal would result in, from 1 November 2009: · · · price changes for a number of intravenous fluids; and listing of a number of irrigation fluids; Baxter’s brands of these fluids not being able to be delisted from Section H prior to 1 July 2012.

Baxter’s brands of the fluids would be available for supply, at the prices, from 1 November 2009, except for 3 products that would be listed and supplied following registration being obtained by Baxter Healthcare.
