Programme Manager - Māori Health

Fixed term – 12 months Wellington based with national travel Reporting to the Manager, Access and Optimal Use in this rewarding role, you will identify and implement projects aimed at improving Māori health outcomes through the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals. You will design and develop interventions that influence the quality use of medicines among Māori using educational and social marketing approaches. Your ability to connect with a range of audiences at different levels and work at ease with clinicians and senior stakeholders will be essential to your success. You will draw on your superb relationship management skills and your strong project and contract management abilities. In this fast-paced team your proven ability to multi-task and prioritise will be highly valued. Your tikanga me ona kaupapa skills combined with your strong strategic thinking and communications skills will enable you to work closely and effectively with Māori health providers, iwi and other key stakeholders to develop and implement programmes to improve Māori health outcomes. Ideally you will have a background in science, education, marketing or health. An up to date understanding of the health sector/pharmaceutical issues and highly developed writing skills are a must.
