29 January 2010 Dear Pharmaceutical Suppliers 2010 PTAC meetings and funding application timelines Please find below the 2010 dates for the Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advisory Committee (PTAC) meetings, and the last possible dates for receipt of funding applications that allow an application to be considered for inclusion in the agenda.

Meeting Date: 25 and 26 February 6 and 7 May 5 and 6 August 4 and 5 November

Applications (3 copies) to PHARMAC before: 23 February 2010 (optional) 25 May 2010 17 August 2010

Applications (15 copies) to PHARMAC before: 8 December 2009 9 March 2010 18 June 2010 17 September 2010

When submitting a funding application, please address it to: Advisory Committee Manager PHARMAC Level 9 Cigna House 40 Mercer Street WELLINGTON May 2010 Meeting The Guidelines for Applications to PHARMAC, 2005 are current for the May 2010 meeting. These guidelines are available here: http://www.pharmac.govt.nz/2008/06/15/Version%201.2%20of%20Application%20Guidelines.pdf (Optional for May meeting - If applicants wish to use the 2009 Application Guidelines (see link below), rather than the 2005 Application Guidelines, then an initial three copies of the Application must be sent to PHARMAC before 23 February 2010.) When making a funding application for May 2010, PHARMAC requires: § 15 spiral bound copies of the application, synopsis and supporting references; § A CD of the full application, synopsis and supporting references; and § A sample of the pharmaceutical (if the application is for funding of a new pharmaceutical or new brand of pharmaceutical).

August & November 2010 Meetings The 2005 application guidelines above have now been fully revised. For the August and November 2010 meetings, applicants must use the updated Guidelines for Funding Applications to PHARMAC, Version 2, 2009: http://www.pharmac.govt.nz/2010/02/11/Guidelines%20for%20Suppliers%20Submissions.pd f When making a funding application for August and November 2010, PHARMAC requires: § 3 spiral bound copies, and an electronic copy of the application for initial screening § 15 spiral bound copies of the application, synopsis and supporting references; § A CD of the full application, synopsis and supporting references; and § A sample of the pharmaceutical (if the application is for funding of a new pharmaceutical or new brand of pharmaceutical).
