Proposal relating to the terms of listing of tamoxifen (Genox)

PHARMAC is seeking feedback on a proposal to amend the listing of tamoxifen citrate (Genox) in the Pharmaceutical Schedule. Details of the proposal The price and subsidy of tamoxifen citrate (Genox) would increase in Section B and in Part II of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule from 1 July 2009 as follows:

Chemical Tamoxifen citrate Tamoxifen citrate Presentation Tab 10 mg Tab 20 mg Brand Genox Genox Pack size 100 100 Current price and subsidy $9.00 $9.25 Proposed price and subsidy $10.80 $11.10

Genox would be protected from delisting and subsidy reduction until 1 July 2011. Feedback sought PHARMAC welcomes feedback on this proposal.
