Consultation on proposal to list solifenacin (Vesicare) and mesalazine (Asamax) in the Pharmaceutical Schedule and to remove restrictions on mesalazine – Extension of response deadline PHARMAC has received requests to extend the deadline for responses to consultation on the proposal to list solifenacin and mesalazine and remove the restrictions on mesalazine (see consultation letter 27 November 2008), primarily because of a gastroenterology meeting that occurs close to the original deadline. Under the circumstances we are pleased to extend the response deadline from Friday 19 December 2008 to Wednesday 15 January 2009. To provide feedback, please submit it in writing by 5 pm, Thursday 15 January 2009 to me at: Greg Williams Therapeutic Group Manager PHARMAC Email: greg.williams@pharmac.govt.nz Fax: 04 460 4995 Post: PO Box 10 254, Wellington 6143
All feedback received before the closing date will be considered by PHARMAC’s Board (or Chief Executive acting under delegated authority) prior to making a decision on this proposal. We note that if a decision is made to approve the proposal, the proposed listing and changes would take effect from 1 March 2009 at the earliest. If you have already submitted a response and wish to make further comments we are prepared to replace your initial submission with a new one or allow you to include a supplementary submission. Yours sincerely
