Changes to the amount of medicine you receive.
PHARMAC has changed the rules in relation to the amount of medicine that you are dispensed. In some cases, you are able to receive a smaller amount when you are starting on a new medicine or changing the dose of a current medicine.
You have been prescribed:
A new medicine A new dose of a current medicine
The first supply of your medicine is smaller to make sure the medicine suits you and to reduce any waste if it doesn’t suit you. Once you are sure that the medicine suits you, let your doctor, nurse or pharmacist know so you can receive a larger amount. If it doesn’t suit you, let your doctor, nurse or pharmacist know so something else can be used.
