Leadership Opportunity / High Quality Analysis

The Analysis and Assessment team has four key functions:

ensuring the pharmaceutical budget is forecast and monitored accurately; undertaking data analysis and cost modelling of major commercial transactions; undertaking cost utility analyses to support decision making on the funding of medicines; and ensuring that PHARMAC’s information technology, applications and related systems, and technical support operate effectively.

economists, ensuring high analytical standards are met, and translating detailed analysis into key insights suitable for decision-making purposes. You would also be part of PHARMAC’s senior management team, bringing the perspective of your team to a wide range of organisational management and development issues. To be effective in the role you will need to have high level analytical and numerical skills, extensive experience applying those skills in a related environment and an appropriate qualification in economics, science or commerce. You will have successful experience in managing a team of analysts (or the potential to be a successful manager), a collaborative working style and, above all, an uncompromising eye for accuracy and analytical quality. An understanding of the health sector and issues in the pharmaceutical sector would be an advantage.
