Proposal to amend restrictions for various pharmaceuticals in Section B of the Pharmaceutical Schedule
PHARMAC is proposing to amend the restrictions currently applying to amantadine hydrochloride, apomorphine hydrochloride, clobazam tab, entacapone and selegiline hydrochloride tab 5 mg in Section B of the Pharmaceutical, with effect from 1 August 2007. We are now seeking feedback on this proposal. Proposed amendments are as follows (proposed deletions in strikethrough): Amantadine hydrochloride
AMANTADINE HYDROCHLORIDE – Retail pharmacy-Specialist Cap 100 mg
Apomorphine hydrochloride
APOMORPHINE HYDROCHLORIDE – Hospital pharmacy [HP3]-Specialist Inj 10 mg per ml, 1 ml
Clobazam
CLOBAZAM – Retail pharmacy-Specialist Tab 10 mg
Entacapone
ENTACAPONE – Retail pharmacy-Specialist Tab 200 mg
Selegiline hydrochloride
SELEGILINE HYDROCHLORIDE – Retail pharmacy-Specialist Tab 5 mg
