PHARMAC CORPORATE MANAGER
PHARMAC is recognised for its dynamic management of prescription medicines subsidies. Our objective is to secure the best health outcomes reasonably achievable from pharmaceutical treatments and from within the funding available. PHARMAC is seeking an experienced manager to be responsible for corporate services, in particular; • Financial management of the $13m annual Operating Budget • Communications - media and stakeholders • Legal services • Inter-agency relationships • Human Resources • Special projects The corporate manager’s role is diverse and challenging, including negotiating with District Health Boards and managing the relationship with Ministers and across Parliament. The corporate manager position is based in Wellington and has nine direct reports, including the Finance Manager and Maori Health Manager. Knowledge and experience in the following areas are important: • Health sector • Financial management • Communications • Governmental processes • Staff management The person must have an appropriate tertiary qualification and be able to work efficiently in a highly charged and dynamic environment.
