PHARMAC IN-HOUSE LAWYER

PHARMAC is recognised for its dynamic management of prescription medicine subsidises. Our objective is to secure the best health outcomes reasonably achievable from pharmaceutical treatments and from within the funding available. PHARMAC is considering appointing an in-house lawyer to an exciting new position that covers a full range of legal advice, including • pharmaceutical supply contracts; • annual tender; • new procurement arrangements for hospitals; and • human resources; and • demand side contracts. The PHARMAC in-house lawyer would also be involved in strategic advice to PHARMAC management and the PHARMAC board. The work would include advice on Official Information Act requests and assistance with any litigation or employment matters that may arise. The position would require 5/6 years post admission legal experience preferably in commercial contract law. PHARMAC has engaged a major law firm to deal with any significant legal work. The PHARMAC in-house lawyer would work in with the liaison partner of that firm to ensure that any such work is completed in accordance with instructions, This exciting and demanding position is an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of the health sector.
