Therapeutic Group Manager

PHARMAC is a Crown Entity, recognised for its dynamic management of prescription medicine subsidies. Our objective is to secure for eligible people in need of pharmaceuticals, the best health outcomes that are reasonably achievable from pharmaceutical treatment within the amount of funding provided to us by government. Therapeutic Group Managers (TGMs) have challenging and rewarding roles. Within specific therapeutic groups they are responsible for managing applications for new or altered listings of pharmaceuticals on the Pharmaceutical Schedule, negotiating high value transactions with pharmaceutical suppliers, responding to market opportunities, monitoring contracts and relationship management with a range of interested stakeholders. For this role you should ideally: • Have a healthcare, economics or analytical tertiary qualification and have an interest in working in the health sector. • Have exceptional communication, presentation and negotiating skills. • Be able to work as part of a highly motivated team, as well as independently. • Have sound numerical ability. • Have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise and multi-task. • Thrive on working in a dynamic environment.
